The Advantage Shift: A new era for Chatbots Life

Hi everyone,

As I’ve been building in the lab over the last few months, I’ve realized that the nature of "advantage" has changed.

We are moving from an era where knowing and being educated were the primary advantages to an era where AI already has all of the information.

In such a world, what begins to matter more than knowing is understanding.

It's the ability to imagine, to ask the right questions, and to be curious—a curiosity to deepen your understanding which will naturally protect you from AI hallucinations and poor quality.

Because of this, I’m changing the way I share information here. I’m moving away from sharing NEWS, Tutorials, and How-Tos. AI can already do all of that.

Instead, we will FOCUS on INSIGHT.

In understanding, in a deep way, the inner nature of these systems (what the Greeks called noesis).

From now on, this newsletter will follow a simple, two-part format:

1. New Insight (1 min read): I’ll start with an Insight I have had about AI. This insight can be entirely new or go counter to common beliefs. You get the high-level signal immediately.

2. The Deep Dive: For those who want to go further, I’ll flesh out my thinking and share how I got there—whether it’s pure deep thinking or the direct result of my work in the lab.

The goal is to stop focusing on the "News" and start focusing on the Signal—on what actually matters for those of us building the future.
